How do I buy it?

Where can I download Sync?

You can download the Mac version of Sync here, or if you prefer, the Windows version of Sync here.

What firewall settings do I need to know about?

The latest version of Sync no longer requires any special firewall configuration.

Can I sync from my computer to my iPhone?

Yes. You can now rename recordings on your computer, and those changes will be synced back to you iPhone. However, you can not currently create recordings on your computer then sync them to you iPhone.

When emailing a recording, can I access contacts from my iPhone address book?

Yes, you can now select email addresses from your iPhone contacts instead of having to type them in each time.

How do I setup syncing?

  • First make sure your iPhone and computer you're trying to sync with are on the same WiFi network.
  • Open Record on your iPhone, then click the sync button in the top left corner.
  • Open up the Sync application on your computer, and select your iPhone from the devices list.
  • Back on the iPhone, tap the "Add Computer..." button, then enter that code in Sync on the desktop, and click "Pair"
  • The iPhone will then pair with the computer, and on successful completion will automatically slide back to the "Sync Recordings" screen on the iPhone.
  • Once this has happened, you should be able to click the "Sync" button in the desktop "Sync" application.
  • This device pairing only needs to be done once per computer you'd like to sync with, for all future syncs, you simply launch Record, click the sync button on the top left, so that you are on the screen with the list of paired computers. Then open "Sync" on your computer, choose your iPhone from the device list, and click the "Sync" button.

My device doesn't show in Sync under devices

If you are using Windows, please make sure you have installed Bonjour, available here, otherwise, make sure that your iPhone and the computer you're trying to sync with are on the same WiFi network.

How do I reset Sync and re-pair with a phone?

  • Open Record on your iPhone, click the sync button in the top left corner.
  • If there are any computers in the list, delete them.
  • Open up the Sync application on your computer, and select your iPhone from the devices list.
  • If the "Sync" button is visible, click on it. Sync will report an error, and return you to a screen where you can enter a new passcode.
  • Back on the iPhone, tap the "Add Computer..." button, then enter that code in Sync on the desktop, and click "Pair"
  • The iPhone will then pair with the computer, and on successful completion will automatically slide back to the "Sync Recordings" screen on the iPhone.
  • Once this has happened, you should be able to click the "Sync" button in the desktop "Sync" application.
