Apple WWDC 2008
San Francisco
Polar Bear Farm recently attended the Apple Worldwide Developer’s Conference.
The team made a long journey from chilly New Zealand to sunny California to attend the largest and most anticipated WWDC yet. The conference had around 6,000 attendees and ran in San Francisco from June 9th - 13th with a large focus on the iPhone and developing native applications.
We had a chance to catch up with old friends, meet new people in the industry, brush up on our development skills, learn the odd trick or two, and mix and mingle at the numerous parties.
The keynote saw the annoucement of the 3G iPhone coming to New Zealand (finally!), and details on the launch of the iPhone App Store. It was a great week of meeting numerous Apple employees, and of course lunching with a couple of friends at the Apple campus in Cupertino.
Thanks to Bart, Andrew, Mike, Louie, Tristian, and all the guy's at Tapulous for allowing us to share their office in Palo Alto for the 6 weeks we were there, much appreciated!
